Aww, I liked the idea of Brickyard. It’s not that much further than Rascals. I’m not keen on Dudley’s, though. Rascals is probably the easiest option.
How does Saturday 6th December suit?
I would have no problem with that, and realistically I think the only way EBCU will survive is if the member organisations who want it to continue pay for it. No other members are willing to pay more, however.

Where it says the autumn meeting is online only, I’m pretty sure that’s a typo. There are travel expenses, and nobody was in favour of an online-only meeting next year. There won’t be a Brussels reception either, but the planned seminar in Rome will likely have similar expenses.It’s not the number of voters, it’s having a beer that gets more than one vote, to create a meaningful result. If all three submitted votes had been for the same beer, for example, that would be the winner.
I think that used to be Beoir13, for 5%, but I haven’t been in touch with them in years. I’ll drop them an email next week.
In lieu of a full-scale Beer of the Year competition, we’re going to try and find the best beer of the festival. I’ve sent instructions on how to vote to the members.
Thanks again to everyone who came along on Saturday, and I’m really glad I asked Lough Gill if we could drop by. Some exciting developments on the way there, in both beer and taproom.
