Continuing on from the “How many Irish breweries in planning phase?” thread from the old forum.
I see the Changing Times brewery, being built by the consortium of Chalke and Anderson pubs with input from Shane Long, has been licensed.
The Independent is reporting a planning application for a brewery with taproom in Wexford town. Reference 20240976 on the Wexford planning portal.
I don’t think it’s either. The recent press information about Brennan’s, that I’ve seen, makes no mention of a production brewery. And I very much doubt YellowBelly will try and start a new one.
If Brennans were open about it, there would be no problem. Given that contract brewing could be a good way of testing the waters.
I found an article about that new to be built brewery in Glasnevin for a number of pubs in Dublin. Reminds me of the club brewery for the working men’s clubs in Britain.

Not sure if this counts but Proiry Brewery have installed a new kit so presumably should have beer back out soon. Untappd showing no check-ins for them since June 2021.
They mothballed the place during Covid. As far as I’m aware they didn’t have any actual employees so it wasn’t difficult to do.
