Commencement notice gone in for a brewpub on the south western corner of Smithfield Square, building already exists so this is “just” fitout
North King Street has a brewery licence, but no pub licence. They’re established publicans elsewhere, they can probably find and afford one.
The old Dublin Brewing Company taproom there never had one, ran in a definitely illegal but just about grey enough to get away with “entry prices are extremely high and cover food, but the beer is free” basis as far as I can tell. Actually advertised on that basis that for work parties.
