The beer festival at the RDS is back for 2024, happening on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th September.

19 Irish brewers are confirmed so far, all bringing a festival beer, and 6 internationals: Vault City, Brewski, Zichovec, Baxbier, Mad Scientist, and Moersleutel.

Tickets are €20 per day. There’s a special offer for current Beoir members (though you need to be a paid-up member already to avail of the offer, you can’t sign up now just to get it).
    Tickets are on sale here.

Are they looking for volunteers at all?

I waa asked if we could provide break cover for some of the breweries and I said no because I don’t think we can (or should) do that. But if you’re interested, check with the breweries.

Do you think they should be paying staff instead of relying on volunteers to do it for free?

That’s part of it. But mainly, as an organisation of beer consumers, we should be there to consume beers, not serve them. I’m certainly unwilling to give up my time at a beer festival to do work, and I wouldn’t ask anyone else to either.

Still a rather good show especially for single dry stout, 8 options to choose from.
