The RDS is well attended by Irish breweries
It is only a snapshot in time but that is how it has been run in the past
I didn’t see any area at the RDS that could be used to hold a beer tasting
Privacy, storage, easy access to drinking water, glass washing etc.
The big question is what would we gain from it? Would it generate enough PR for the effort?

I’m really not in favour of doing a panel tasting at a festival. A vote by participants, sure, but a panel tasting means the panel lose out on festival time.

“a panel tasting means the panel lose out on festival time” That is true
We could have an MS form for attendees to vote
It would automate the collation of votes too

Problem with an attendee vote is you don’t know what else they’ve tasted, if you’re comparing it to a panel tasting.

I could go to a festival and pick something as my absolute favourite, from the three beers from one stand I bought. Which could be the worst drek anyone brought to the festival

For attendee voting, like with the old BotY competition, you need lots and lots votes so trends emerge. With that, your crappy vote won’t count for anything.

Well, I don’t intend for my choices to be terrible; its just who I am :p
