Well I missed this post had moved looks like we have our own section now <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> Given the looming Irish Craft Beer Festival up in Dublin on the 7th-9th Sept I would suggest we have the first meeting in Oct.

How does Friday 5th Oct in the Bierhaus sound to start things off?

This sounds good to me. I might be working late that night, but will try to get in anyway. This date will give me a chance to get my latest brew into bottles, as I've mostly been kegging of recent.

I'd be glad to meet on Oct. 5th!
Do you think we can get away with doing homebrew tasting at the Beirhaus? I know the Franciscan didn't seem to mind...

Should be no problem tasting home brewed beer at the Bierhaus, as the poster Dave Cork above is the owner! I would suggest that everyone at least buys a pint before the tasting and afterwards, so we are not taking advantage, but this usually isn't a problem, as there's a great range of beer in there. If dave doesn't see this post, I will check with him to make sure the date is okay, and so that we can arrange to reserve a table, as it will get busy in there on a Friday night. Obviously Friday's are a better option for most people to have a drink, but we'll have to monitor how busy it get's and whether we are hogging space that regular punters could be using.

We can see how we get on, and whether we will have regular numbers for a monthly meet, or whether we would get more people if it's bi-monthly. Hopefully people will come out of the woodwork, so that it is monthly and we are not reliant on any one person/organiser being in attendance. We can also discuss if people want to rotate between the Bierhaus and the Well to break it up a bit. I can check with Shane in the Well, but I'm sure he wouldn't have a problem either.

We can decide how much beer to bring closer to the time, as that obviously depends on the number of attendees, and how much people have spare, but a litre of each beer should be enough for everyone to get a taste.

Might as well start a list so! And we can always start a new topic if that is deemed to be clearer for people to see.
