I think the cask version is a winter seasonal, could be wrong[/quote:1t2jjy8k]It used to be the autumn seasonal, replaced by Jack Frost in the winter. I think they've re-jigged all that now, though.

Just having my first one now. Love it!!!!
Is that a roasted barley flavour?? Curious because I thought the lack of roasted barley was what differentiates porter from stout( if anything does)

Top drawer!! Will buy again

Chocolate malt, the.only difference is the starting gravity. The use.of roasted barely is a some what modern addition

Thanks Oblivious, I have a Randy Mosher porter recipe that turned out excellent[img:145rn9qa]http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/10/15/egyquqy2.jpg[/img:145rn9qa]
However, I think a small amount of roastiness would benefit this greatly. Thinking of adding some roast barley to it but not sure how much. Was thinkin maybe 50 or 100 grams. Any opinion?

Thanks
