Must see/drink in Brussels? 12 years 2 days ago #1

I find myself in Brussels for the next two weeks (sad, I know); are there any must see/must drink places/beers?

Delirium I've done before and will probably do again one time and one time only, Cantillion is planned for this weekend, and I plan on spending a couple of evenings in Moeder Lambic.

A La Becasse and In't Spinnekopke sound like good places.

I could use some recommendations on non-Cantillion lambics if anyone has any.

I'm tucking into a Brasserie Dupont Bons Voeux/Avec Les Bons Vœux currently and it's pretty dang impressive and unbelievably dry for a 9.5% Saison; I'm still convinced that they use an organism other than the Saison Dupont Saison stream to ferment this thing out, but it's got a great flavor and minimal phenols. -A monster of a Saison with one of the biggest and long-lasting heads of any beer you'll ever see.

Bier Circus is well worth a visit.

Pop in to Délices & Caprices at the top of Rue des Bouchers if you're buying bottles, open Thursday to Monday, 2pm to 8pm.

Wow, wow, wow!

Thanks for the myriad recommendations in all areas.

Bier Circus; adding it to the list.
3 Fonteinen I'll give a chance again but last time it was SOO acidic my teeth hurt for 2 days.

Never even heard of Tilquin; noted.

Delices & Caprices, also added to the list.

Great stuff!

More than no-see (postings); no see anywhere. Between constant visitors, training, my work schedule, and starting to look at moving back to the states, I realize I've been a bit scarce. I hope to make the May meetup and even better would be to actually have a beer for it.

I DID make it to Easterfest for about 2 hours at least, so I finally managed that, at least.
