Would people find it useful to have a Q&A section in the KB covering the most commonly asked homebrew questions? I've been reading a little book called "The Home Brewer's Answer Book", by Ashton Lewis (a columnist for Brew Your Own), and thought something similar could be really useful for the growing ICB community. Lewis breaks his book into useful subsections such as "cleaning and sanitizing" or "choosing and using the right yeast", and offers a few short paragraphs in answer to common questions under each general topic. Could we do something similar? Especially for those questions that arise again and again?

I'm thinking we could approach the project in the same way we compiled the A-Z; a community effort where volunteers contribute original material or edit and improve old material.

I realise this is a big project, one which might pose technical difficulties for the admin team, but if it could be made to work, I think it would be an excellent addition to the KB. Any thoughts?

In a way, the forum provides such a mechanism, but can be hard to find (or some people are too lazy <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->). The new forum version after the migration will have much better search facilities though.

However, yeah, a Q&A/FAQ kind of piece could be useful. Not sure how it could/should be organised though. A single article that grows, or an FAQ section that has an item for each question? It all depends on the nature of the questions too.

How about proposing a list of initial questions in this thread to give an idea of what would need to be covered? Depending on the results of that there may be a decision on how to best approach it, and I can then look at ways of easing it technically.
