Here's an olde-timey tag that we can use on the map instead of the boring Google Map defaults:

and shadow:

A Mr Allman took over the lease in 1875, brewing both porter and ale. It was sold as a going concern in December 1889, but I don't know what happened to it after that.

It had various uses after that, I'll see if I can work backwards, might be easiest...

Early 90's to present - Food Processing Centre
(?) to early 1990's - Webpac Builders Materials Manufacturers

194X? - 19XX? Little Norah Lemonade

1889 - 194X Beamish & Crawford bottling plant.

The Mr Allman you speak of I think also had a large distillery in Bandon from 1896-1925 which was killed by the depression & prohibition. The impressive 6 storey grain loft still stands to this day! Excellent article and pictures here... <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.irelandwhiskeytrail.com/?pg=allmans_..._distillery_cork.php">www.irelandwhiskeytrail.com/?pg= ... y_cork.php

Is it possible for users to update this? It's something I'm interested in and there is quite a lot of information readily available that doesn't seem to be in it.

For example 168 is the old McArdle Moore brewery.

There's a KMZ file linked to on the article which I assume you can download and work with.

As Barry says in the article, a community-based wiki is probably the next step. If anyone wants to get that moving they're welcome to.

If I put some info into the KMZ is it possible to upload it to the main map thing again?
