Doolin Beer Festival, 24-27th August

Post by andrew » Fri Jun 29, 2012 10:06 am

Just an advanced heads up on this event- It's not been advertised yet but Beoir is getting to hear about it first so if anyone is interested in going you'll hopefully be able to get accommodation...

Doolin Beer Fest: Doolin Hotel, Doolin, Co Clare. 24th to 27th August (and yes, I know that's coincides with the Hilden Festival).

I got sent a link about this today. Surprised to see this in all the press releases...

Hotelier John Burke spoke at the launch about the importance of the upcoming festival “this is the first time a festival like this will be held outside of Dublin and is a great opportunity for Doolin”.

Surely "Brewers on the Bay" in Galway is a "festival like this"?? :?

Look forward to trying Dooliner some time.

Seamus O'Hara is involved with this festival. Pity it clashes with the long-running Hilden Festival.

Campsites are a great idea. Two in Doolin. I'm going to Hilden so can't make this but I might head to Doolin to camp soon and head to nearby Lisdoonvarna (brewpub). If you go, you would want to cycle as it's probably well over an hour of a walk. Taxi is another option.
