Happening a lot up here although this is the first time I've heard of bottles being targeted, normally they don't care about those. C&C in particular are pumping a lot of money into the pubs in Derry with Diageo stout the only exception being allowed.

Our main craft beer bar (owned by Dopey Dick Brewing) even has 6 taps tied up by Heineken so that kind of tells you what the situation is like. Likewise, Kiwi's Brew Bar in Portrush has one of the best bottle/can selections in the north yet all the taps are C&C.

If the craft beer trend does eventually catch up in Derry some of these pubs that have signed 5-10year deals will find themselves left behind.
