Re: Website migration...

Great so, many thanks to all involved, looks like we are moving forward.

Tiny request:

Please change the new posts icon from scarlet (as opposed to old posts in maroon) to something much more visibly contrasting like Maroon/Yellow, Maroon/Blue, Black/White and for the religious: Green/orange

I can see that a LOT of hard work has gone into this. Thanks Andrew and anyone else.

Just a note the Recent Posts window is a little screwed up, the botom one is offset and overlapping Dr John!

Cheers

Remember to bottle at least 1 in a 500ml Lucozade bottle. That way you can track your conditioning.

Re: Commercial cider question

A common practice used by "large" companys: 1. Ferment the fresh pressed apple juice (with or without concentrated juice) as a strong apple wine (about 13% alcohol). 2. Store in Large, chilled concrete vats that occupy about half your site. 3. Dilute with water and carbonate as required. 4. Keg or b...

Re: Introduce yourself

Hi, The lab will be mostly geared towards craft breweries but homebrewers will be welcomed to have there beer analysed or come and pick up some hops/yeast at the end of the season. Philip What us homebrewers need is a lab that can do a simple water profile analysis for a fair price. We have in the ...

Re: Czech Wild Hops

Growing hops from seeds is not recommended in Ireland.

You will get male and female plants.

Only the females are cultivated for brewing purposes.

The male hop plant is listed as a "Noxious Weed" and you can be fined if found to be growing it!!

So please beware.

Excellent so!

That means I won't be cooking tomorrow - too busy with the new Ap and the GF.

Thanks for the info

Will someone contact Alan to add in Wine producers/Vineyards/

The opening paragraph could be interpreted as to include them but probably better to be explicit!

Re: After Walk Pints

Assuming that there is another watering hole in walking distance (think NOSE SPITE CUTOFF etc) ask to speak to a manager or owner and say:

"Do you have any craft beers for sale?"

Assuming the answer is NO then the reply is:

"Thats a pity then, we'll go else where!"

Re: Independent Irish Beer Logo

I know its too late but if you mirror the beer glass outline so it can look more like a tick mark you could the say:

"Look for the IICB tick mark!"
