Re: Beer Spotting

Galway Bay have a sour beer called The Eternalist coming out. Even comes in proper Belgian style geuze bottles. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CQjRYNKXAAE7qAK.jpg:large This is the beer that won the belgian beer comp held by Galway Bay a couple of years ago. Winning that comp encouraged me to start th...

Re: How many Irish breweries in planning phase?

Thanks for the kind words. We're having a blast. We've learned a lot since starting out; some things the hard way :D

It has been a hectic few months and the paperwork has been great craic altogether  Hopefully our beer will be reaching more venues over the coming weeks and months.

Re: How many Irish breweries in planning phase?

I'm delighted to announce that Corrib Brewing Company are trading as Wild Bat. This is the lovechild of myself and Barry (Barkar), two more homebrewers and Beoir heads that decided to ignore the many, many reasons not to make the leap from homebrewing to full scale brewing. Our first brew is a Calif...

Re: How many Irish breweries in planning phase?

It's Scary! There will definitely be casualties. To survive, a brewery will have to get the support of their area, and get pouring in their locals. There are not enough outlets selling craft to cope with the output of 60/70 breweries. Independent off-licences that would have taken anything Irish in ...

Re: The independent brewing company in Galway

I had a taste of the IPA and the Red from the conditioning tanks when I called out a few weeks ago - great beers. I hope to pick up a few bottles as soon as I find a local seller.
