Vintage Beer Tasting 8 years 5 months ago #1

If anyone is in Belfast on the weekend of Friday the 20th of July then your welcome to attend a beer tasting of vintage beers.

Line up includes:

1 Gales prize old ale 1998
2 Gales prize old ale 2005
3 Thomas Hardys 2003
4 Bass Princess ale 1978 2 pint bottle
5 La Choulette Biere Des Sans Culottes 1990 75cl
6 Straffe Hendrik 1990 75cl
7 Chimay Premier 1988 75cl
8 Kasteel Donker 1989 75cl
9 Felix Kriek 1972 75cl
10 Belle Vieu Selection Lambic 1989 75cl

Couple of real rarities there, the Felix Kriek is the original wild fermented beer that was aged in oak barrels. They sweetened it from the mid 80s onwards. It's a Rodenbach style beer with cherries. The Kasteel is the first vintage and the only vintage at 12%

Line up should increase shortly soon <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

Hopefully the Fantome isn't the "green ghost" woodruf version. -Woodruff just tastes like artificial crap!
