Hi guys.

Taking a trip down to Doonbeg in Co. Clare this weekend. Any recommendations to try along the way or when I get down there. Beers I might be able to find from the Wesht of Ireland or maybe some decent pubs to visit. Travelling from Dublin.

The roadside tavern and Burren Brewery in Lisdoonvarna is about 50 mins away, but if the weather is good then the scenery is well worth the drive.

If youre passing through Ennis, try pick up some Western Herd beers. In terms of Ennis pubs, Lucas's and McHughs are must visits.

Hi,

Lucas's are running a beer festival this weekend.
We have an amarillo and simcoe hopped double IPA on in McHughs and a nitro red ale along with our four core range.
We also have a tasting in Next Door off-licence on the Gort road out of Ennis tonight from 5-8 so there's plenty on in the Wesht for the craft beer drinkers this weekend. Lucas's and McHughs are beside each other down the end of Parnell Street!

Michael,

McHughs & Western Herd.

thanks for the heads up lads. Unfortunately didnt make it into Ennis but got to try the house beers in The Roadside Tavern in Lisdoonvarna. All very nice, especially the Gold. Will definitely be heading back down for more.
