[b:1j4hp2qh]Dungarvan Coffee and Oatmeal Stout[/b:1j4hp2qh] - really enjoyed 2011 version (definitely one for coffee heads
[b:1j4hp2qh]St Mel's Raisin and Oatmeal Stout[/b:1j4hp2qh] I quite enjoyed, fruity with licorice and dates
[b:1j4hp2qh]O'Hara's Winter Star[/b:1j4hp2qh] on keg in 2012 it was mostly coconut and a hint of spce
[b:1j4hp2qh]Beoir Chorcha Duibhne Riasc Black[/b:1j4hp2qh] This was fantastic and a last minute entry to beer of year contenders, a great porter along lines of dubh with additional blackberry fruit- fab!
[b:1j4hp2qh]White Gypsy Yule Ol Bottle [/b:1j4hp2qh](This ones been in oak, was last years?) wasn't keen last year, astringent and soapy slightly acrid.perhaps better batch now?
[b:1j4hp2qh]White Gypsy A Winters Ale[/b:1j4hp2qh] - Keg think i had a duff keg because it was infected, weisse but too much chlorine. John had it elswhere and quite enjoyed it
[b:1j4hp2qh]White Gypsy Dark Nights - Cask (Not a Christmas beer but a strong, dark Winter beer)[/b:1j4hp2qh]This was tasty stuff on cask in Brewdock, full bodied, toasty and cocoa
[b:1j4hp2qh]8 Degrees Double Irish[/b:1j4hp2qh] I enjoyed this Full bodied, fruity, pithy, blackcurrant. though too hot for some
[b:1j4hp2qh]8 degrees russian imperial stout[/b:1j4hp2qh] in bottle not as good as last year, undrcarbonated and no finish,
[b:1j4hp2qh]8 degrees Belgian Dubbel[/b:1j4hp2qh] I'm not a fan of dubbels in general and this one is typical or the style Heavy candi sugar and yeast esters banana and spices. Full bodied and sweet, light carbonation, heavy, cola, candi sugar.
[b:1j4hp2qh]Trouble brewing Dash Away cherry chocolate Stout[/b:1j4hp2qh] cask at brewdock Rich chocolate fondant with lactic edge on nose. Full bodied, low carbonation, fruity medicinal cherry, cocoa, chocolate, dry finish. keg@headline a little more body, drinks a little easier but at expense of complexity, certainly more cherry.
[b:1j4hp2qh]Galway Bay Heathen [/b:1j4hp2qh]-->wasnt out yet <!-- s:( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( -->
[b:1j4hp2qh]White Hag Yule Xmas Ale [/b:1j4hp2qh]was unusual, plenty of spice and a really sharp citrus flavour that reminded me of yuzu but none aded...just a lot of fresh cascade and ginger.

so to summarise dash away, dark nights and full irish well worth seeking out and Riasc black i'd categorise as unmissable...needs to be made regularly!
