Precisely. So with a 22.Jul.15 BBD, that sounds like 6 month dating - short, I'm glad to see.[/quote:5gr27lf4]

One of Grainne's big concerns was cans sitting in storage for too long and people then getting a can that doesn't taste fresh and isn't a true reflection of the draught product.

I think storage is key with hoppy beers. Dark and cold. I have a Pliny clone that I brewed in March 2014 and it still gives me gas.

O'Shea's Pale Ale - [b:3rgo4lg0][size=150:3rgo4lg0]€3.78 per litre[/size:3rgo4lg0][/b:3rgo4lg0]. Not Drinkstore, I know, but it's the same abv.

Just finished my first can of Metalman. I'm disappointed.

Love it on cask, like it on draught. Can't see myself buying 8 cans of the stuff ever again, put it that way.

Bo Bristle IPA should be your go to Irish pale ale...

I'd take KPA, Scraggy Bay, Hophead and probably O'Shea's Pale Ale over it (regardless of the price) too.

All Day IPA, of course, knocks it out the park as far as cans go.

Hopefully they put their canning line to better use.

It [b:3rgo4lg0][i:3rgo4lg0]should[/i:3rgo4lg0][/b:3rgo4lg0] have been priced at 2 euro a can.

Harsh.

Ridiculous expectation.

Howling Gale is a juicy APA and a great value - I'd speculate that contracts with supermarkets help 8 Degrees keep prices down.

Many other beers on that price list are [i:bn7n2hc3]not American Pale Ales[/i:bn7n2hc3]
They are (without naming names) English Blondes or try to be "balanced" or whatever other kitten-hugging excuses there are for being timid when it's time to lash in the lupulin.

I'll pay for Metalman cans for the same reason I pay for All Day cans:
I want to know I'm getting hops for my money.

Metalman is closer to English blonde than most of them in the abv department.

I agree that a lot of that list isn't great.
