Its been a long time since I had to say that about a craft beer, but in Hollands, Bray last week I had the taste of a new lager product from the stable of a domestic large cider producer.
Have they no shame, it was bland in the extreme and genuinely tasted like water, it would make Bud taste like a DIPA.
Am I alone in thinking this? has anybody else tried it? and what makes them believe a product like that would actually sell considering it has a higher rrp than H/Ken or C/berg?

It's what people like. Molson Canadian hasn't gone away, so monkey see, monkey brew.

Far too easy for a public slagging but it was really dreadful and I would urge anybody that hasn't already to try it and correct me if they feel my comments to be unjust.

In five years of drinking Macro attempts at craft it has to be my worst experience, I think probably what is more disappointing is I know they have the capability both in taster groups and market research to get it right.

I see what they are attempting with some of the cider products and what they have done for branding on their product in the last 15 or so years is truly amazing and like it or loathe it has changed all our perspectives about cider.

In summary from where I am standing they just used market/distribtion presence to lob this poorly conceived product out there. <!-- s:( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( -->
